What To Do If You Have a Claim

With Nashville traffic and Nashville weather, we have seen a lot of claims recently.

Here are our top tips if you are in a situation where you may need to make a claim.

Auto

  1. Get a police report and the other driver’s information. Take photos, if possible.
  2. Call us to let us know what happened. We will discuss your deductibles, your coverages, and your options. We will also put notes in our system. You can call us to discuss your options without being obligated to file a claim.
  3. If you choose to make a claim, the driver will need to call the insurance company. We do not have the legal authority to file a claim on anyone’s behalf.

Home

  1. Take measures to prevent further damage. Take photos of the damage, if possible.
  2. Call us to let us know what happened. We will discuss your deductibles, your coverages, and your options. We will also put notes in our system. You can call us to discuss your options without being obligated to file a claim.
  3. If you choose to file a claim, the homeowner will need to call the insurance company. Neither the agent (us) nor the repair person (i.e. a roofer) can call the insurance company on anyone’s behalf.
Be wary of roofers who call you after a storm to inspect your roof after a storm. Make sure You reach out to a reputable roofer if you have a concern.
